Anyone who knows me knows I want to eat EVERYTHING every where we go. So for Day Two here in Seaside, I’m pretty much giving you guys a play-by-play of the places we ate. haha. We woke up (thank god Kenzie was in a good mood) and I went to workout on the beach. After sweating and working my legs to exhaustion I grabbed us some to-go breakfast from Pickles – the Seaside staple. The awesome bartender was from Haiti and we ended up speaking in french for a little while. Tu Parles Francaise?
Then we went down to the beach (Kensington was a team player and let us get in a few hours). She wore her cute little two piece and I wore my new favorite cover up from Athleta.
Then we went and got the most AMAZING grilled cheese from the meltdown. I love their Mozzarella, Tomato & Basil. Its so fresh. Dave got it and added prosciutto too for his larger appetite. Seaside is known for their town center & Food Truck lane in the middle of the city. I love Frost Bites shaved ice (I always get Peaches & cream and it is oh so yummy) and the Melt Down truck is so good too. Definitely check them out!!
The newest and most “posh” of our eateries today was the Surfing Deer. It’s new to Seagrove (right by Seaside) and has a gorgeous modern architecture with big windows and very cool light fixtures. I was still full from our Grilled cheeses but I ended up eating the gumbo, Chili Glazed Salmon, and Skillet cookie anyways – it was really good. They actually asked how I wanted my salmon prepared and it made a WORLD of difference. Dave ate the Filet with Mashed potatoes & green beans and said it was the best he’s had so far, not to mention they served jalapeño cornbread as their appetizer and dave said if it was a woman he would leave me and marry her lol It was that dang good. It was a great little date night while Mia watched Kensington.
Then we watched the sunset and made our way along the beach where we stumbled upon the coolest beach bonfire!
Then we did some light shopping (David got swim trunks & I got a bracelet) and made our way back to the house. Dave plans on golfing tomorrow and we’re just going to relax and maybe do some shopping. Then Rosemary beach on Sunday (I CAN’T WAIT).
